As just one part of the “Full Nelson” team, Jennifer Nelson brings to the company over 12 years experience in entertainment; specifically marketing, advertising and public relations.
Her more recent staff position was at the Enterprise Entertainment Group where she held the title of Director of Marketing and Product Development. In this position, she supervised the release of over 50 DVD titles and marketed these titles to all the major DVD retailors. In addition to the product development function, Jennifer oversaw marketing and public relations for the division, and directed the corporate marketing group.
Prior to joining Enterprise, Jennifer was the Marketing Manager for the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. Jennifer also held the position of Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Stan Lee Media, a new media venture from Marvel Comics icon, Stan Lee where she oversaw all public relations, marketing and special events.
Jennifer’s additional production credits include the television show Extra, where she served in the capacity of Creative Affairs Coordinator; DreamWorks Animation where she negotiated and drafted employment agreements for a division that grew from 10 to 150 people in six months, and Saban Entertainment’s Animation Division.
She is experienced in graphic design, printing and sourcing of large quantities of collateral material, event production, animation, live-action production, online entertainment and business affairs. She possesses a strong business sense and knowledge of the industry, coupled with skills in marketing, media buying, public relations, business administration and management. Also, she’s a strong leader who is detail oriented and able to multi-task while eager to take on additional projects with a proven track record for completing projects on time and on budget.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Northridge.
Lennie Nelson is the other part of the “Full Nelson” team, and he brings over 12 years of production, creative and technical experience to the mix. For the past four years he has spearheaded the video production side of the company for a range of different projects from television shows and films to commercials and corporate sports.
He has edited and producing over 20 hours of programming for Speed Channel’s original program Test Drive and served as lead editor for two seasons of WETV’s Cheerleader U. Not to mention being the finishing editor for several network shows including everyone’s favorite, American Idol.
His experience includes all aspects of production from scripting, scheduling and budgeting to directing and editing. Applying the knowledge gained from interacting with high profile clients such as Warner Music Group, ESPN and Fox, Lennie expanded his creative abilities beyond film and video production into the world of print and online media.
Lennie’s most recent staff position was at Toolbox Productions in Santa Monica, California where he served as editor and associate producer for four years on television shows and commercials, corporate presentations and DVD bonus features. While there, he produced and edited DVD bonus features for 28 seasons of Star Trek DVD releases earning the Saturn Award for “TV DVD of the Year”. Wearing a different hat, he served as a liaison with account executives at advertising agencies (including BBDO and Campbell-Ewald) to ensure various projects met with the client’s approval. Major clients included General Motors, Chrysler, BMW, MGM, Paramount and Fox.
Prior to Toolbox Productions, Lennie had the pleasure of working for a year as the editor on a contemporary remake of the animated children’s classic “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer & The Island Of Misfit Toys” featuring the voice talent of Richard Dreyfuss, Jamie Lee Curtis and Rick Moranis.
He gained valuable management and production experience while serving as Director of Video Services for Stan Lee Media. Lennie was recruited to start up the video division for the company. This is where he and Jennifer collaborated on many productions and where, you could say, Full Nelson Productions began. Lennie’s responsibilities included producing and editing all corporate and promotional pieces, providing audio/visual support for live events and serving as post supervisor for all productions.
Lennie is a Certified Avid Editor with over 10 years experience using AVID Symphony and Media Composer editing systems including Unity storage. His technical competency operating professional video production equipment (including cameras, decks, lighting, audio, vectorscope, wiring, networking) is something that’s hard to find outside of Los Angeles. His proficiency extends to the digital world with vast experience using graphics applications including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effects. He is also accomplished in DVD authoring and video encoding for digital and online use. His web design expertise includes HTML, CSS, Flash, PHP and other interactive internet technologies.
